- Butler Dining—It’s simple. We believe that good food is essential to nourish the mind and body. Our commitment is to provide a variety of healthful options to help you power your life on campus. We also provide ongoing nutrition and wellness programing on campus. Our engaging activities and educational events serve to promote a balanced and mindful approach to eating and living.
- The Compass Center—The Compass Center seeks to provide opportunities for students, faculty, and staff to reflect on their own passions and how to connect the life they lead to a sense of purpose and meaning.
- Mindfulness Meditation—Learn to meditate to help calm and focus the mind. Receive instruction and practice.
- Center for Urban Ecology and Sustainability (CUES)—The Center for Urban Ecology and Sustainability (CUES) is an academic center at Butler University dedicated to the science and practice of urban ecology and sustainability. In the liberal arts tradition, we view urban ecology as inherently interdisciplinary and aspire to engage disciplines across Butler’s campus—from biology to business and beyond—in gaining a fundamental understanding of urban ecology and sustainability for a more environmentally resilient, economically viable, and equitable society. - The Farm at Butler—The farm’s mission is to serve as an example of sustainable urban farming for Butler University and the Indianapolis community by teaching the interconnectedness of life, the importance of food security, and the methods of growing local foods through organic farming. - Calm App – Butler students are eligible for a free Headspace account. This mobile app. provides guided meditations for all types of needs and all times of day, sleepcasts and bedtime audio, and guided cardio for the mind and body. Sponsored by The Office of Student Affairs
- Health and Recreation Complex (HRC)—offers many programs and services to Butler students, faculty, staff, and alumni, as well as the Indianapolis community. Not only is it the site for the Department of Recreation, the HRC also houses the offices of Counseling and Consultation Services, Health Promotion, and Health Services, making it a true wellness center on campus.
- Counseling and Consultation Services (CCS)—Butler’s licensed and professionally trained staff offers counseling services to all currently enrolled students. We strive to provide students with the support and resources they need to help them achieve their personal and academic goals and enhance their experience while in college.
- Campus Connect Suicide Prevention Training—This program’s goals are to increase knowledge and skills related to crisis intervention and suicide prevention.
- Safe Space LGBTQ Ally Training—Safe space provides training to faculty, staff, and students to become active and effective allies to the LGBTQ+ community with the goal of providing a more hospitable environment on campus.
- Thriving Campus—Access a network of mental health clinicians in the community who work with students.
- Health Services—provides health care to students currently enrolled in the University. We place an emphasis on treating the medical, emotional, and educational needs of our students.
- Get Yourself Tested (GYT)—Free and confidential STI testing
- Recreation and Wellness—offers a holistic and dynamic approach of a comprehensive suite of services and programs, allowing students to explore informal opportunities in recreation, sport, and fitness.
- Aquatics—Serious and casual swimmers alike will feel at home in the Aquatic Center. The 25-yard lap pool contains six individual swimming lanes, and feeds into a spacious leisure pool featuring bubble benches and a current channel.
- Club Sports—Are you looking to participate in a sport on a more competitive and regular basis? If so, club sports is your answer. Most club sports practice 2–3 times a week and compete on-campus, off-campus, and possibly nationally with other universities.
- Group Fitness Classes—The HRC offers a variety of exciting, fun, and dynamic group fitness classes on a weekly basis that are free with HRC membership.
- Health Promotion—actively seeks to educate and empower students to make informed choices that positively impact personal wellness and the wellness of the greater community.
- Intramural Sports—We provide a variety of sports that are both active (i.e. basketball) and passive (i.e. euchre). These sports are open to all Butler students and formatted as a one-day special event/tournament or a 3-week league with a playoff tournament.
- Personal Training—Our personal training service strives to serve Butler University and the surrounding community by meeting the needs of our clients.Our trainers will help you reach your goals with personalized programming.
- Sexual Assault Response and Prevention (SARP)—The SARP Office is available to respond to students who have experienced forced or unwanted sexual contact or interpersonal violence.
- Counseling and Consultation Services (CCS)—Butler’s licensed and professionally trained staff offers counseling services to all currently enrolled students. We strive to provide students with the support and resources they need to help them achieve their personal and academic goals and enhance their experience while in college.
